KYMO

KYMO, a 140 m² residence located southwest of Patras, overlooks the sea and unfolds across three levels, each defined by its own unique material palette. The challenge of preserving the existing structure—with flooring of varying textures and styles on each floor—sparked a creative dialogue with the space. This led to the search for a shared architectural language, capable of bridging contrasts and revealing the unity of the composition.

Through the use of black metal elements, wooden accents, and earthy-toned fabrics, we designed spaces that retain their individual character across levels while belonging to a single narrative, vertically and conceptually. The interior architecture is rooted in balance. Off-white walls act as a canvas of light, enhancing the interplay of shadows, textures, and natural light that filters through the home.

Each floor evokes a distinct ambiance, yet through thoughtful detailing—color tones, materials, and geometry—a cohesive sense of flow and continuity emerges.

The name “KYMO,” inspired by the Greek word for “wave,” symbolize the calm, natural movement that permeates the house. A residence designed to offer serenity, rhythm, and equilibrium—like a breath between the structured rhythm of the city and the endless openness of the sea.
