Tatiana Dimou Architects is a Patras-based practice operating across Greece and internationally. With over a decade of experience across all different project scales, is defined by rigorous, disciplined methodology and an uncompromising attention to detail. Space is not merely designed; it is analyzed, experienced, and recomposed with total precision—down to the most imperceptible detail. Their work has earned distinctions and been featured in leading architectural platforms establishing their practice as a leading voice in Greek architecture.

Tatiana Dimou Architects believe in achieving the maximum spatial impact with as little material and expenditure as possible. Through careful observation and minimal intervention, they create ascetic, immersive and experiential spaces that reexamine the relationship between human and nature, and the boundary between public and private space. For them, architecture is never an imposing condition; it is a flexible, evolving result of the interaction between program and context.

Their vision is to contribute not only in the formation of unique living spaces but also in the transformation of urban sites globally, by redefining the structure and meaning of cities through their existing infrastructure, and ensuring a sustainable and poetic footprint for the future.

THE OFFICE

Tatiana Dimou Architects was founded in Patras by the licenced architect Tatiana Dimou. Inspired by a journey to Japan in 2011, she established her first independent practice under the name i_ARCHITECT. A decade later, in 2021, Tatiana Dimou Architects | Artists | Designers was born—conceived as an open-plan space where art and architecture coexist.

The studio is housed in an emblematic building dating back to 1910. Originally the Agouridis distillery and later the renowned Karydis carpentry shop, the structure had remained vacant since 2005. Transformed into a unique open creative space, the redesign serves as a manifesto of the firm’s work ethic and design philosophy, ultimately earning the award for “Best New Architecture of an Existing Building” in 2022 and first prize at the 11th Biennale of Young Greek Architects in 2024.

The office also functions as a vibrant cultural hub and gallery, having hosted exhibitions featuring prominent Greek and international artists under the artistic direction of painter and muralist Kleomenis Kostopoulos. This enduring dialogue with the arts continually fuels and evolves their architectural perspective and synthetic process.

The team consists of specialized professionals in the fields of architecture and design. United by a shared commitment to meaningful architecture and a relentless pursuit of the unconventional, each member contributes to the whole with their individual identity and experiences, ensuring a work environment, on one hand, equal, where women’s representation and equal opportunities are not only stated values but daily practice, and on the other hand, supportive, with ideas evolving organically through the convergence of diverse perspectives. MD - Architect

Tatiana Dimou is a licensed architect born in Athens, with more than a decade of experience in designing and realizing built work. She studied Architecture at the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras and upon completing her studies, she founded her first architectural office. Her philosophy is rooted in a holistic approach and a mindful practice, with each project designed in awareness of place, time, and the people who inhabit it.
